Welcome to Regina Coeli
At Regina Coeli, we are dedicated to providing care, hope, and support to those in need. Our mission is rooted in compassion and love, making a difference one life at a time.
About Us
We provide shelter and support to homeless women in Ireland. In addition to offering safe accommodation, we offer ongoing assistance to our residents and refer them, whenever possible, to specialised services.
The Regina Coeli Hostel is entirely run by volunteers from the Legion of Mary, who are inspired by the words of Jesus and His Blessed Mother Mary to love one another. This guiding principle gives our residents a message of hope and supports them on their journey to recovery and independent living.
The Hostel is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Legion of Mary
We are a century-old lay association, founded in Dublin in 1921 by the layman and civil servant, Servant of God Frank Duff (1889-1980).
Our mission is to serve God under the banner of the Virgin Mary, and we have members assisting the work in nearly every country. Our apostolate consists of various evangelisation activities, prayer, participation in the sacraments (such as Mass and Confession), devotion to the Virgin Mary, and the corporal works of mercy (as mentioned in Chapter 33 of the *Legion of Mary Handbook*).

Volunteer Work
At the Regina Coeli Hostel, you have the opportunity to be part of this transformation by extending a hand to women who have faced the harsh reality of homelessness.
Many of our residents come to us with stories of pain, loss, and challenges.
They carry deep scars but also bring with them the hope of a fresh start. This is where volunteering becomes essential. By giving your time and care, you offer much more than support: you provide humanity, a listening ear, comfort, and hope.
Make a Difference, Support Our Work
Your contributions help us bring hope and change lives.
O Mary, conceived without sin.
Pray for us who have recourse to you.
"The Legionaries hope to render themselves worthy of their grest heavenly Queen by their loyalty, their virtues, and their courage. The Legion of Mary is therefore organized on the model of an army, principally on that of army of ancient Rome, the termonology of which is adopted also. But the army and thearms of legionaries of Mary are not of this world. This army, now so considerable, had the most humble of beginnigs. It was not a thought-out organization. It sprang up spontaneosly. There was no premeditation in regard to rules and practices. A suggestion was simply thrown out. An evening was fixed, and a little group came together, unaware that they were to be the instruments of most loving Providence." (Legion of Mary Handbook - Chapter 1 - 'Name and Origin')
